Macdonald & Company for Cityscape Dubai

Dubai, October 13, 2007

Macdonald & Company, a leading recruitment consultancy focusing solely on the property industry, will take part in Cityscape Dubai 2007.

The company plans to address the growing demand of property and real estate developers seeking facilities management (FM) professionals. The company has also strengthened its team in Dubai to include specialised recruitment consultants with expertise in the placement of FM and architecture and design professionals, said a Macdonald official.

The move follows the publication of an industry study, which predicted that the facilities management sector in the GCC is expected to reach Dh3 trillion ($0.81 trillion) within the next 25 years.

The company's participation in Cityscape Dubai 2007, the largest business-to-business real estate investment and development event in the world to be held from October 16 to 18, 2007, is in line with its regional growth strategy and goal to provide a strategic link between employer and employees.

During the show, consultants from Macdonald & Company will provide developers and industry professionals with insights on the latest market trends in addition to releasing the Middle East's first Salary Survey Guide for the property and real estate sector.

With a view towards managing expectations on both fronts, Macdonald & Company will seek to tackle the growing demands of developers looking for quality professionals whilst also advising industry professionals striving to enter the Middle East market.

'Facilities Management is quickly becoming a focal point of the real estate market and the main reason for this is properties are now being completed thus requiring this type of service. Developers are also realising the importance of FM being included at the design phase therefore encouraging the need for more FM consultancies,' said International director, Macdonald & Company, Matthew Taylor.

Macdonald & Company, which set up its offices in Dubai last year, has been working closely with a variety of clients including developers, consultancies, banks and financial institutions, and other industry players.

Companies such as Emaar Retail, Emaar FM and Construction, MAB Property Service and Development, Alshaya, Al Mazaya, Sorouh, EC Harris International Limited, Emirates Bank, GEMS, Limitless, DTZ Bahrain and Al Tayer have benefited from the outstanding property and industry professionals provided by the company.- TradeArabia News Service
