Shajrah City Centre under revamp
Sharjah

Sharjah City Centre, the emirate’s highest drawing shopping destination, is undergoing a major expansion, renovation and redevelopment programme.

The new extension will take the mall’s total retail area offering to over 37,553 square metres with over 114 shops.

Set for completion in December 2008, the mall will be home to an additional 22 new stores including internationally renowned anchor stores New Look, H&M and Borders occupying a total of over 3,400 square metres of space.

Other prominent retailers will include Vincci, Women’s Secret, Missha, Areej, Shades and for the first time in the northern emirates Coffee Republic and Parfois. The new retail outlets will complement the existing diversity and uniqueness available at Sharjah City Centre.

“Over the years we have amassed invaluable experience and expertise in retail development. Our seven successful operating centres are proof of that. In every market we operate we are the leaders, and in order to maintain this top position, we are constantly assessing trends and evolving our centres to meet and exceed the ever changing markets in which they operate. The Sharjah City Centre redevelopment is one such step to ensure we continue providing a world-class shopping experience,” said vice-president of asset management, MAF Shopping Malls, Ali Al Abdallah.

“We are not only growing in terms of size but we are also adding value to the existing centre,” said centre manager, Sharjah City Centre, Jassem Al Janahi.

“Every effort is being made to ensure the successful operation of the centre throughout the 10 months of the redevelopment process,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
