Ivor Catto, currently a member of the executive board of Atkins, has been appointed as the chief executive of Hyder Consulting, an international advisory and design consultancy.
Catto, who will take on the role on December 1, succeeds Time Wade, who is retiring.
Catto, 41, has been a member of the executive board of the W S Atkins Group for the last five years and been group managing director of the Design & Engineering Solutions Division, since its formation in April 2005.
Catto joined Atkins in 2000, and previously held roles in Scottish Power and Babtie Group.
