Etisalat Services unit wins mosques contract

E-Facility Management, a member of Etisalat Services Holding, has been  appointed by the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (DICD) to maintain all 420 mosques in Dubai.

The agreement was signed by Dr Hammad Bin Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Sheibani, general manager of DICD and Ali Mohammed Al Sharid, chief executive officer at Etisalat Services Holding at the DICD’s head office in Al Mamzar, Dubai.

Dr Al Sheibani said: “Etisalat is a leading national corporation that plays an important role in providing valuable services to the community. This partnership emphasises the strategic collaboration between the DICD and other local organisations. This affiliation reflects our commitment to maintain Dubai’s mosques to the highest standards. We are looking forward to extending this partnership and to launching further development plans and initiatives.”

Ali Mohammed Al Sharid, chief executive officer at Etisalat Services Holding said: “This agreement is the first step towards enhancing the strategic relationship between e-Facility Management and the DICD. We are looking forward to expand our efforts to manage all facility services for the mosques of Dubai. We are committed to share our experience with DICD to help them achieve their goals. We will use specialised online programs and manual information processing devices to implement this program.”

In the first stage of this initiative, e-Facility Management is going to provide the mosques with maintenance services, operational process and appropriate equipment. The second phase will include a consultancy project for the development of services provided to the mosques in order to raise the level of services, increase efficiency and preserve quality.

We are confident that this partnership will best serve our strategic development plans and contribute to achieving several benefits as it provides with best services and expertise to the mosques and the worshipers, and contribute to the civilization of Dubai,” said Abdul Rahim Mohammed Taher, director of financial affairs, DICD.

Etisalat Facility Management is now responsible for the maintenance of more than 5,000 sites in the UAE ranging from GSM sites to high rise buildings.

Etisalat Facility Management was formally established on March 1, 2007 and is made up of all facility management staff previously employed by Etisalat. It has
more than 1,600 specialists employed covering the UAE. The team provides integrated facility management services covering all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, security, catering as well as providing facility management consulting services and project management. –TradeArabia News Service
