Milestone for Sukoon Tower project

Manama, April 30, 2009

Sukoon Tower construction has taken a leap forward as the developers announced completion of a major milestone in the core wall area of the project.

The sub-structure core wall area for Sukoon is very strategic as it will house eight high speed elevators, services for the tower and will anchor the twin towers in the middle.

Sukoon Tower is a 45-floor luxury residential tower project in Juffair consisting of 592 apartments and 740 car parking spaces and is being developed by Tashyeed Properties Company.

The news of the current achievement marks the end of a very crucial and sensitive stage that is significant to the support of the entire substructure of the building.

'We have completed concreting of the core wall area. This included a massive volume of concreting and steel works and with the support of our dedicated team we have managed to concrete over 2,400 cubic metres of concrete a day, a record volume for Bahrain, with the total volume of concrete over a period of 36 hours more than 3,000 cubic metres,' said Tashyeed Properties chief executive officer and managing director Redha Rajab.

'This is a critical milestone for the project, and as the tower continues to rise higher from here, we have taken all the steps needed to ensure the highest standard of quality and care being put into the project.'

The property consists of a vast area of landscaped gardens and well designed water features that bring the outdoors into the tower and provide its residents with ample avenues to enjoy a breath of fresh air.-TradeArabia News Service
