Hyder Consulting wins 2 MEP awards

Hyder Consulting, the multi-national advisory and design consultancy, has won an impressive two awards at the MEP Middle East Award Ceremony, held in Dubai.

Hyder’s involvement on a vast range of projects throughout 2009 secured the ‘MEP Consultancy of the Year 2009/10’.

Hyder’s MEP projects include the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the Pentominium Tower in Dubai, the Michael Schumacher Tower in Abu Dhabi, the Colonial Hotel in Dubai, Dubai Mall Entertainment Centre, Gary Player golf course in Abu Dhabi, Education City in Doha, its unrivalled engineering ability on the Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building; and the Dubai Fountain, the world’s largest and tallest performing fountain.

Ben James – MEP Function Group manager based in Qatar won the Award Category ‘Young Engineer of the Year 2009/10’.

Alastair Mitchell, principal mechanical engineer for Burj Dubai, was ‘Highly Commended Project Manager of the Year’.
