Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) has announced that 600 sq m of exhibition space for the forthcoming 14th Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition (MECCE) has been completely sold out.

The three-day conference is being organised for the 14th consecutive year under the patronage of Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza from February 12 to 15 at the Gulf Hotel.

MECCE 2012 is organised by BSE in association with NACE International, West Asia and Africa Area and Dhahran Saudi Arabia Section.

"On behalf of BSE board and members, I would like to express my gratitude to Dr Mirza for his continuous support, guidance and patronage of the event. The increasing number of sponsors, exhibitors and visitors is a validation of the conference's growing reputation across the Mena region and around the globe," said BSE president Majeed Al Gassab.

"BSE aspires to shed light on Bahrain as an important hub for holding major international events, evident by the number of mega conferences and exhibitions held in the kingdom on regular annual basis."

Conference chairman Dr Gassim Fallatah said over three decades, the Middle East Corrosion Conference and Exhibition has been organised regularly every two years in Bahrain and has been the preferred meeting place for the industry professionals.

"This year the MECCE witnessed overwhelming response, with all of the exhibition area being sold out," he said.-TradeArabia News Service
