Dana showcases drivetrain solutions at Big 5

Dubai, November 26, 2013

Dana Holding Corporation, a leading automotive product solutions provider, is showcasing its drivetrain technologies and complete service offerings at the ongoing Middle East Concrete 2013 in Dubai.

The exhibition is part of the Big 5, which runs till November 28 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The drivetrain solutions being offered are for construction vehicles and aftermarket support, said a statement.

Dana meets the needs of OEMs around the world with innovative components customers can rely on to perform in challenging, rigorous environments, such as those found in the Middle East, it said.

"Infrastructure and utility projects are fuelling the steady growth of the construction market in the Middle East," said Aziz Aghili, president of Dana Off-Highway Driveline Technologies.

"Dana supports these initiatives with innovative drivetrain solutions and extensive service capabilities that maximise the productivity of construction equipment."

It offers a single source for drivetrain replacement parts and service under the Spicer brand umbrella, which includes Clark, Clark-Hurth, Sige, Comaxle, Kirkstall, Spicer GWB, Spicer Italcardano, Spicer Ayra-Cardan and Victor Reinz sealing products.

Dana subjects all genuine Spicer service parts to superior metallurgy, hobbed and shaved gearing, precision heat-treating, and shot peening to ensure consistent quality and exceptional durability.

The company has also commissioned more than 60 authorised Spicer off-highway service centres around the world to provide complete after-sales support, including repairs and spare parts distribution for both OEMs and the aftermarket.

Spicer axles, transmissions, and driveshafts are available for a variety of construction equipment, including front-end loaders, excavators, teleboom handlers, aerial work platforms, compactors and rollers, backhoe loaders, wheeled cranes, pavers, haulers, and ditchers and trenchers. All parts allow complete customisation, deliver maximum performance, and permit easy maintenance.

Spicer drivetrain products can also be found in agricultural, material handling, mining, forestry, industrial, and light- and commercial-vehicle applications.

Traction is key for both productivity and safety on the varied, uneven, and unpaved terrain found at construction sites, and Dana offers several torque-biasing differential options, each custom-engineered to suit specific ground traction conditions across vehicle applications.

Dana's drivetrain systems for construction equipment are offered with a range of transmission technology options, including electronic controls; axles with internal, fade- and-maintenance-free, liquid cooling brakes; lube for life driveshafts; and other innovations that minimise equipment downtime and maintenance costs. - TradeArabia News Service
