Schön sees business park project on track

Dubai, December 8, 2013

Schön Properties, a leading regional property developer, said its business park project in Dubai remains on-track for scheduled completion by the second quarter of 2014.

The Schön Business Park, which includes 398 offices and 90 retail units across 1.1 million sq ft in Dubai Investments Park, has reportedly gone past its 70 per cent completion mark. Once ready, it is likely to be an ideal location for countries taking part in Expo 2020, said a company statement.

According to senior executives, Schön Business Park was conceptualized to meet the demand for a flexible, location-conscious, cost effective office and retail space in Dubai.

The project, which is approximately 5 km away from the recently opened Al Maktoum International Airport (AMIA), has easy access to three main highways - Shaikh Zayed Road, Mohammad Bin Zayed Road and Al Khail Road - and is also in close proximity to Jebel Ali Port, thereby making it one of the premier office locations within the Middle East.

The Schön Business Park project will include two basement levels, ground floor and three floors - food & retail shopping (137 outlet units) on the ground floor and shell & core offices (296 units) on the first, second and third floor.

On the project's progress, CEO Firas Hassan said the Schön Business Park was right on track to meet the scheduled deadline for completion in the second quarter of 2014.

"We are also very happy that the UAE has won the bid to host Expo 2020, which in turn, adds value to this project as it represents an ideal and strategic location for the companies who will be setting up shop here in line with the preparations for this truly global event," noted Hassan.

Schön Business Park will offer these businesses the best of both worlds - a high-class corporate atmosphere blended with the commercial presence of global brands in its food and retail shop tenants, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
