Leading design and engineering experts in the region attended a key Autodesk design and engineering conference in Dubai recently.

The 'Autodesk University Extension Dubai 2013’ brought together professionals from the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), manufacturing, and media and entertainment industries.

The event, hosted by Omnix International, the authorised distributor for Autodesk products in the Middle East, was part of the ‘Autodesk University’, an annual series of Autodesk in-person and virtual user conferences.

Speakers presented some of Autodesk's latest offerings and taught participants the latest productivity tricks and tools used by professionals, said a statement.

Dr Jayant Deshpande, director-CAD Division, Omnix International, said: "The event gave participants the opportunity to network with their peers and Autodesk experts and learn about integrating best technologies into their everyday business practices to drive sustainability, success and compliance."

The event included multi-level main stage lectures and small break-out sessions.
