EMart auction sells $7.5m worth properties

Dubai, January 19, 2014

EMart, an online portal run by the Dubai Land Department, sold seven commercial and residential properties worth Dh27.6 million ($7.5 million) at its second auction recently.

Auctioneers gathered in the hall reserved for them by the Dubai Land Department, which was furnished with auctioning screens and tablet devices. They were trained in the usage of the various features of the auction.

The display of properties at the auction included location maps, detailed blueprints, comprehensive photography and the starting price.

The portal was launched by the department to keep pace with the quantitative and qualitative growth that the real estate market has witnessed since the introduction of smart governance in Dubai. - TradeArabia News Service
