Spain's Acciona to design Oman museum

Oman has selected Spain's Acciona Producciones y Diseño to design the National Museum of Oman, a report quoting the company said.

The project is the biggest to be undertaken by Acciona Producciones y Diseño in Asia and the deal is worth 18 million euros ($24.8 million), the Globalpost report said citing Agencia EFE.

The National Museum of Oman will have 4,000 sq m of space and display its permanent collection in 12 halls.

The museum will exhibit about 7,000 pieces that tell Oman's history, as well as offer visitors interactive and audiovisual displays. It will be the first in the Middle East to serve the blind also.
