Abu Dhabi, April 22, 2014
The eighth edition of Cityscape Abu Dhabi opened today with more than 120 regional and international exhibitors showcasing their projects.
The event was opend by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, national security advisor and vice chairman of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi.
Taking place until April 24 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), the event is the UAE capital’s largest and most influential property investment showcase, growing by 15 per cent in 2014.
Held under the patronage of General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Cityscape Abu Dhabi’s growth is matched by the visitor numbers that pre-registered to visit the show, which grew by 26 per cent year-on-year.
New features and highlights have also been introduced, while dozens of leading property developers are using the important platform to announce and promote their latest projects.
Among those include the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, which announced plans to build its 125,000 sq m Al Fayah Park in the centre of Abu Dhabi; and 3Dimension, which is launching an Emirati-designed Green Villa concept to thousands of potential investors.
This year Informa Exhibitions, organiser of the event, has introduced the Abu Dhabi Market Overview Conference, which took place today. Jointly organised with JLL and supported by Masdar City, the half-day conference debated the sustainability and momentum of Abu Dhabi’s maturing property market, as the emirate builds toward its 2030 Vision.
A new feature that promises to be a favourite among the thousands of visitors to Cityscape Abu Dhabi over the next three days is Sandscape – an exciting showcase where local and international artists recreate, out of sand, Abu Dhabi’s iconic buildings and fine Arabic heritage. - TradeArabia News Service
