Al Hassan achieves new safety milestone

Muscat, May 25, 2014

Leading Omani contractor Al Hassan Engineering Company (AHEC) has achieved a major milestone clocking 2 million lost time injury (LTI)-free man-hours at the OOCEP Gas &Condensate Export Pipelines Project in the Sultanate.

To mark the feat, OOCEP and AHEC team organised a safety ceremony at project site camp that was graced by senior officials of OOCEP.

AHEC had been awarded the project in September 2012 for the engineering support, construction, installation, inspection, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning assistance of  two export pipelines of 85 km each from Abu Tubul field

OOCEP project manager Charlie Fanshawe lauded the AHEC team for its committed efforts towards this fabulous achievement. "We have more challenges ahead and he is confident that AHEC will deliver and complete the Project as Scheduled with High HSE and quality standards," he added.

Maqbool Ali Salman, the managing director of Al Hassan Group said: "At Al Hassan, the health and safety of our people is our top most priority and we are extremely proud of our performance in the field. I truly believe that together as a team we can complete this project safely and on schedule.”
