L&T wins Saudi Arabia power deal

RIYADH, September 17, 2014

Leading Indian construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said it has won a contract from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for setting up a high-voltage double circuit transmission line in eastern Saudi Arabia.

The turnkey order, which has been awarded by National Grid, a subsidiary of SEC, is likely to be completed in two years.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, testing and supply of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission towers, conductors, insulators, other transmission accessories, testing and commissioning of the EHV double-circuit transmission line with a route length of 192 km.-TradeArabia News Service
