The second community retail centre opened by Nakheel in less than a month, Discovery Gardens Pavilion, has nearly 30 shops, restaurants and cafes, including a Geant Easy supermarket as the anchor store.

The centre also features a medical centre, a branch of Jebel Ali Nursery an extensive range of every day convenience stores and an ATM.

Serving more than 25,000 residents at Nakheel’s Discovery Gardens, Al Furjan and The Gardens communities, the new centre is one of six neighbourhood malls from Nakheel.

The first, at Jumeirah Park, opened earlier this month; others are underway at Furjan, International City, Jumeirah Islands and Badrah; and more are in the pipeline.

Speaking at the launch, Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah said: “We are committed to enhancing our communities with services and facilities that residents want and need.
