CMS announces key Dubai appointments

DUBAI, October 14, 2014

CMS, a European provider of legal and tax services, has made two key appointments in Dubai, UAE, to enhance its offering to the region’s construction and engineering sectors.

CMS in Dubai has named Jeremie Witt as its legal director and Natalie Hall as lawyer – both specialists in the construction and engineering sectors.

The appointments follow a growing demand for its services in this sector since the Dubai office was launched, especially in the developing markets such as Iraq.

Witt, who worked previously with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Dubai, advises on both non-contentious and contentious construction matters. Hall worked for a construction company in London before relocating to Dubai.

Matthew Culver, the managing partner of CMS in Dubai, said: “These appointments will bolster our offering in Dubai and allow us to maximise opportunities across the booming construction sector all over the region.”

Adrian Bell, a partner in the Construction Disputes team at CMS in London, UK, said: "We are committed to a targeted expansion and leveraging the opportunities within our extensive network of clients and contacts in the region."

"Having lawyers on the ground in Dubai, to work with us in London, will allow us to better serve our clients’ needs as they grow their operations internationally in this exciting region," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
