Bahrain-based real estate finance developer Eskan Bank has appointed leading property consultant Cluttons as the sole leasing agent and facilities manager for its large mixed-use development Danat Al Madina.

Strategically positioned in the heart of Isa Town, between the old market and Isa Town Mall, Danat Al Madina comprises 15 six-storey buildings.

Cluttons said as per the deal it will lease and manage the development’s 36 sub-divided commercial office units, which are split between two towers, as well as its 42 retail units and showrooms located on the ground floor, covering a space of 5,639 sq m.

The company will also manage the 324 residential apartments at the development, which Eskan Bank is currently selling.

Harry Goodson-Wickes, the head of Cluttons, Bahrain said: "Danat Al Madina is a project that will raise the quality of the real estate on offer in Isa Town. With the recent increase in demand for mixed-use space, we anticipate a very strong response."

Dr Khalid Abdulla, the general manager of Eskan Bank, said: "Danat Al Madina provides affordable residential units to Bahraini families, as part of our strategy to provide community housing to occupiers, based on their credit capabilities. The project reflects our efforts to support the national housing plan, which primarily aims to reduce long waiting lists."

"After concluding our tender process for the management and leasing services of Danat Al Madina, Cluttons has showed a real passion for the project and understands our goal of offering a sustainable development that serves, and benefits the whole community," noted Dr Abdulla.

"This project is our second property to be developed under the ownership of the Bahrain Property Musharaka Trust and Cluttons has shown its ability to deliver, by fully leasing the first project, Segaya Plaza," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
