Al Ahlia Contracting wins ISO certification

MANAMA, November 8, 2014

Bahrain-based Al Ahlia Contracting Company said it has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for its quality assurance and occupational health and safety (OHS) management system and their compliance with the global standards.

The certifications were awarded by TUV Nord, the German-based international standards certification body.

These certifications verify that both the ISO quality assurance framework and the OHSAS safety framework are now an integral part of all processes and activities within Al Ahlia and that the company has in place the necessary robust controls to ensure quality, health and safety are assured and continually monitored and improved, said a top official.
 
"The health and safety of employees and the quality of services are crucial to our company. As one of the key contractors in Bahrain, we are committed to applying best practices to ensure quality services are provided in a safe, healthy and efficient work environment," remarked Al Ahlia’s director Abeer AlMoawdah.

"We are very pleased to achieve the ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 certifications, which further confirms our commitment to satisfy our clients and our successful efforts to meet the industry's stringent standards," she stated.

Al Ahlia’s operation manager Rudran received the certifications on behalf of the company.

The company later held a lunch event and awarding ceremony to celebrate this occasion and awarded all employees who were involved in achieving this milestone.
