KTI .... a major player in concrete cooling systems.

KTI showcases concrete cooling solutions

DUBAI, November 20, 2014

KTI-Plersch Kaltetechnik is showcasing its most comprehensive range of products for the concrete cooling industry, at The Big 5 construction expo in Dubai, UAE.

A German pioneer and leader in the field of concrete cooling, KTI, a regular exhibitor for more than 15 years, said The Big 5 was an important event in its calender as it gets to meet most of its customers, who are from the Middle East region.

"It provides us with an opportunity to meet and thank our customers and keep them informed about new developments,” said a company spokesman.

At last year’s event, KTI had introduced its ‘Greenline Chillers’ for the concrete industry.

“These are very economical plants, mainly because the refrigerant is reduced to a minimum. We have received lot of positive feedback from many visitors about these environment-friendly plants,” he explained.

The company is now showcasing its upgraded cold air plant for aggregate cooling and the newly designed plate ice plant for other industries along with its standard flake ice plant, ice and cold water chiller.

“We are proud to say that these plants will be operational in several infrastructure and energy projects in the near future,” the spokesman said.

KTI is a dynamic and innovative German refrigeration contractor and has been a name associated with concrete cooling for almost three decades now. More than 2,800 KTI concrete cooling plants are in operation worldwide.

“Most of these plants are employed on special projects, which usually have a completion schedule of two or three years. After that, the equipment has to be relocated immediately and conveniently. This can only be achieved with KTI’s unique modular systems,” he stated.

All of KTI’s plants, he stated are containerised and mobile thus making the erection and installation an easy job and helping save costs and time.

This also helps in future projects, in moving the plants from one site to another within a few days with a minimum down time, explained the company spokesman.

“Since each plant is custom built, importance is given to liaising with customers to find out the optimum solution in terms of design, capacities and suitable layout of the system,” he added.

According to him, KTI has supplied complete concrete cooling systems for several mega projects in the Middle East. Its top projects include Burj Khalifa in Dubai (UAE), the world's tallest building situated in Dubai, UAE, and the Kingdom Tower in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) besides the Palm Islands in Dubai.

The other key projects are the Kuwait Causeway project; Dubai Metro and Dubai Airport (UAE); Hamad International Airport in Doha (Qatar); Jeddah Airport (Saudi Arabia) and several ports in the region, he added.

KTI-Plersch Kaltetechnik is at Stand MEC A101.
