KUWAIT, December 2, 2014

Leading construction and property firms will be in Kuwait for the inaugural edition of the renowned Cityscape real estate event which kicks off on December 7, said the event organisers.

The three-day exhibition is being organised over an area of 7,000 sq m at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds, gathering more than 65 topnotch real estate companies along with enthusiastic investors under one roof, said the co-organiser Informa Exhibitions.

To be held under the patronage of Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, Cityscape Kuwait is set to be biggest real estate event in the country’s history, they added.

Announcing the launch, Deep Marwaha, the group director of Informa Exhibitions, said the inaugural event was fully booked and on track to be the largest in the industry.

He stressed on the support of the industry for the event in Kuwait, particularly all the government organisations, exhibitors and sponsors, and the high-calibre industry experts who will speak at the Kuwait Real Estate Summit, which will be running parallel to the exhibition.

The summit, to be held on December 7 and 8, will provide a convenient platform for the participants to discuss the latest issues of the real estate industry including those related to regulatory challenges, financing for projects, laws related to mortgages and investment strategies.

Marwaha said the entire Cityscape Kuwait event was being perfectly planned to provide the real estate and investment community with a comprehensive experience.

"Buoyed by surging oil revenues, strong public finances and a growing young population, Kuwait is now experiencing a period of renewed growth after a strong rebound from the global financial crisis," observed Marwaha.

"Therefore, Cityscape Kuwait will look to support the country's economy and real estate fundamentals by providing a platform for real estate developers, architects, finance companies, investors and other stake holders to meet, network and do business in a vibrant business environment," he added.

Abdullah Al Haran, the CEO of Maksab Project Management, the event co-organiser, said: "Cityscape Kuwait provides a true opportunity for participants to offer their real estate projects on one hand. It also serves as a key indicator to assess the real estate market’s orientations currently, and identify the real estate destinations preferred by Kuwaiti citizens and investors on the other."

Haran said all preparations had been done and now Kuwait was gearing up to witness the largest event of its kind.

"With less than one week to the inaugural Cityscape Kuwait, leading domestic, regional and international exhibitors have booked their spaces at the exhibition considering it as the perfect platform to showcase unrivalled real estate products and projects while revealing the latest developments of the industry," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
