Al Meera malls construction work on track

DOHA, December 30, 2014

Al Meera, a leading retail chain in Qatar, said the construction work at all its 15 malls across the country was going as per schedule and the project would be completed next year.

The new retail facilities are coming up at Sailiya North, Rawdat Ekdeem, Umm Salal, Leabaib 1, Leabaib 2, Bu Sidra, Al Wakra 2, Rawdat Aba El-Herran, Azghawa, Al Khor, Um Qarn, Rawdat Al Hamama, Jeryan Junaihat, Al Sailiya, and Ain Khaled area of Qatar.

These malls are being done in four innovative designs, said a statement from Al Meera.

"Our initiative comes as part of Al Meera's keenness to keep strong bonds with its customers ever since the company was established and share enjoyment on this meaningful occasion," said Dr Mohammed Nasser Al Qahtani, the deputy CEO of Al Meera.

"Our goal is to bring everyone close to at least one Al Meera store in Qatar," he stated.

All new malls will be built to stringent international standards and outfitted with the latest interior design style and modern lighting system. The contemporary concept will cover all of Al Meera’s supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and other stores.

"We will continue to rehabilitate old branches and then switch over to our new innovative concept. This new modern and contemporary concept is designed by international companies and aims to meet the Qatari market requirements," stated Al Qahtani.

Al Meera's gesture comes within the company’s ongoing quest to keep up with the pace of development and growth in Qatar, guided by the National Vision 2030, said the top official.

The nine new outlets will open at Al Wakra, Al Thumama, Al Wajba, Muaither, Al Azizia, Zakhira, Murraikh and Jeryan Nejaima, as well as a branch at a rented property in the Gulf Mall.-TradeArabia News Service
