Dubai's Emaar Properties, builder of the world's tallest tower, made a net profit of Dh861 million ($234.5 million) in the fourth quarter of 2014, as against a profit of Dh756 million ($205.7 million) in the year-earlier period, marking an increase of 14 per cent.

Quarterly revenue was Dh2.85 billion ($775 million), up from Dh2.76 billion ($751 million) a year earlier.

Emaar made an annual profit of Dh3.29 billion ($895 million) in 2014. This compares with a profit of Dh2.57 billion ($699 million) in 2013. – Reuters
