Seef Properties ... rebranded to reflect 'the strength and ambitions for growth'

Seef Properties eyes five key investment opportunities

MANAMA, March 18, 2015

Seef Properties is looking at five major investment opportunities, the company's general manager Robert Addison has said.

Addison told the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication, that while no decision on upcoming projects had been made yet, the company was considering at least two more malls in the kingdom and was also exploring potential opportunities abroad.

He was speaking on the sidelines of the company's annual general meeting yesterday at Fraser Suites.

The general manager announced that the company was being rebranded to reflect "the strength and ambitions for growth". Seef Properties will now trade under the name of "Seef" and with a new logo.

"We decided some time back that the Seef Mall logo and the Seef Properties logo were too similar and the public did not differentiate between the malls and the corporate identity.

The malls were rebranded in October 2013.

He said the company decided on a simple one word corporate identity that retained its links with the previous name but chose a new style that reflected the strength of the business and represented "core values of excellence, integrity and creativity".

"The logo derives from the Arabic letter 'S' and reflects a forward-looking business and we continue to grow," he said.

Earlier, shareholders approved the board recommended cash dividend of 11 per cent of paid-up capital, or 11 fils per share. The real estate developer reported an eight per cent rise in net earnings at BD10.82 million ($28.4 million) for last year, when compared with BD10 million ($26.5 million) in 2013.

The company's chairman Essa Najibi said a number of major projects were implemented last year which are expected to impact the bottom-line this year.

"Our existing business lines performed extremely well compensating for delays in some projects and producing excellent financial results. We anticipate this will be a very good year for Seef Properties as we realise the contribution of our investments," he said. - TradeArabia News Service
