Al Shamsi ... inaugural show to explore the latest energy-efficient
and eco-friendly technologies.

Al Ain set for debut eco-smart home show

ABU DHABI, April 14, 2015

Leading organisations and companies involved in energy conservation will be in Al Ain, UAE, to discuss the benefits of using energy efficient household devices at the inaugural Eco Smart Home Show next month.

The event will see companies showcase their latest technological innovations and advanced systems in air conditioning, irrigation, sunshades, home electronics, lighting, solar power, paint, windows and doors and energy efficient plumbing.

The event, being organised by Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC), will run from May 7 to 9 at Al Ain Convention Centre.

Incorporated in 1998, AADC is a public joint stock company with a mandate to undertake maintenance, operation and development of water and electricity services to consumers in Al Ain and its suburban areas.

The company also seeks to distribute water and electricity in a reliable, secure, safe, environmentally responsible and cost-effective manner in line with its vision to position itself among the top performers worldwide in water and electricity utility by 2020.

Aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of using energy efficient household devices, the event will showcase a wide range of products and educate visitors on lifestyle changes that can be implemented towards reducing utility bills and achieving long-term benefits from energy conservation and resource preservation, said the organisers.

The show will take visitors on an interactive journey through a typical home and garden, with each area offering simple tips on how to cut water and electricity consumption and reduce utility costs.

In addition, the Eco Smart Home Show will drive home the message that the optimal use of energy does not mean depriving people of energy or impacting their well-being, but is rather about employing best rational methods and avoiding wasteful use, they stated.

Mohammed Salem bin Omair Al Shamsi, the director general of AADC, said: "The launch of Abu Dhabi’s inaugural Eco-Smart Home Show is aligned with our leadership’s vision to shape the UAE into one of the top countries worldwide in energy conservation."

"It also supports AADC’s strategy to promote sustainability and social responsibility through sensitising different sections of society about the importance of conserving energy and safeguarding natural resources," stated Al Shamsi.

"In addition to educating future generations to behave responsibly and reduce energy consumption where possible, the event will provide an ideal platform to explore the latest energy-efficient and eco-friendly technologies and products to help us build a sustainable future," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
