Euro Motors showroom work nears completion
MANAMA, May 27, 2015
Euro Motors, the exclusive dealer and distributor for luxury automotive manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover in Bahrain, said work on its $30-million showroom was nearing completion and was on track for launch in the last quarter of 2015.
Located adjacent to the existing Euro Motors showroom in the Sitra, the two-level showroom spread over 5,000 sq m area has been specially designed from the outset to solely house new as well as approved Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles for a minimum of the next ten years.
It is set to be the first purpose built facility in the GCC to be fully compliant with Jaguar Land Rover’s latest corporate identity standards, said the company in a statement.
Announcing the progress, Nawaf Al Zayani, the managing director of Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover, said: "This is Euro Motors’ most aggressive investment strategy in showroom development in recent years. Gauging from the massive size of development and the worth of the investment, the facility is set to substantially raise the standards for all other dealers in Bahrain."
The construction began in April 2014 with a budget of $25 million, but this was increased over the course of the project, he stated.
According to him, the display space capacity for new Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles has been doubled as compared to the existing showroom and the new and improved showroom will be large enough to accommodate a substantial increase in used vehicles as well.
The building will also house a state-of-the-art workshop with a capacity more than twice that of the current workshop, which will allow work on 32 vehicles at a time, said the statement.
The facility growth will be supported by an increase in the total staffing levels to a total of 100 technical and non-technical personnel, it added.
Simon Ellis, Euro Motors Jaguar Land Rover general manager said: "Jaguar Land Rover continues to develop a significant number of new, exciting and innovative vehicles that deserve to be displayed in only the very best of environments and this new facility serves the purpose of the same and more."
"The facility has been designed to provide an industry leading customer experience for our invaluable clientele, regardless of whether they approach us to purchase a brand new vehicle, an approved car or a lightbulb. We are confident that it will further consolidate Euro Motors’ strong position as leaders in the automotive industry in the Kingdom," he added.
Having already been a long standing partner and official Land Rover distributor in the Kingdom for over 15 years, Euro Motors was appointed by Jaguar Land Rover Limited as the exclusive importer and distributor for Jaguar in Bahrain in October 2013.-TradeArabia News Service
