"This will start from the cycling track roundabout, extend 20 km up to Dubai-Al Ain Road, pass over Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and run through to Jumeirah," explained Al Tayer.

Accordiong to him, the scope of work includes building of three more roundabouts at junctions, streetlighting works, and storm-water drainage network as well as protecting and shifting the existing utility lines.

Metal rails would be erected in the median to fend off casual U-turns, ground markings would be repainted and the existing trees would be protected, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
