Oman's Raysut Cement Q2 net profit falls 33pc

MUSCAT, July 16, 2015

Oman's Raysut Cement posted a 33 per cent drop in second-quarter net profit on Tuesday, according to Reuters’ calculations.

The largest cement firm by market value in the sultanate made RO4.93 million ($12.8 million) in the second quarter of the year, compared with RO7.36 million ($19.1 million) in the same period of 2014.
    
In a Reuters’ poll, two analysts had forecast a net profit for the quarter of RO6.03 million ($15.6 million) and RO5.15 million ($13.3 million).

The company posted a first-half profit after tax of RO10.96 million ($28.4 million) compared to RO15.59 million ($40.4 million) a year ago, it said in a statement to the bourse. It did not give a quarterly breakdown. - Reuters
