Taif water pipeline network begins operations
RIYADH, August 3, 2015
Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (NWC) has completed a water network project in Taif, which will serve 14 localities, a report said.
The network is 121 km long with 2,750 extensions for housing units, the Arab News report quoted Said Al Umari, a senior manager of the services of assets and projects in Makkah, as saying.
The project includes extending the network to 14 localities of Taif, including Umm Saba, Al Anood, Al Muntazaha, Umm Al Qura, Assinaiyah, Al Maaridh, Al-Wahsah and Al Hamda, he said.
This project is the first of its kind implemented by the company involving the laying of pipelines and extensions for homes, Al-Umari said.
He explained that the project would be operating in coordination with the concerned authorities and organisations.
