Sino World picks Cherry Brown for fit-out

DUBAI, August 19, 2015

Sino World, a business consultancy for services between China and the UAE, has selected Dubai’s Cherry Brown Interiors for the design and turnkey fit-out of its new 55,000-sq-ft business centre and associated business areas in the emirate.

This means that all the necessary elements of the interior works at Sino World at Wafi Mall including design and build are being managed by one interior fit-out contractor.

Sino Gulf has invested in Sino World Department Store, Sino Link Business Center, Jewellery Zone, Indoor Golf Club and Sino Natural Catering at Wafi Mall. The group is into trading, export and import, business facilitation between China and the UAE, brand representation in the UAE for Chinese products and companies and tourism promotion between both countries.

Sino Gulf’s warehouse in Dubai and the warehouse facilities in Shanghai Free Zone and Yangzhou Economic Development Zone in China will facilitate the logistical movements of high-end electronics, gift items, home ware, textile, garments and jewellery.

The B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to consumer) division of Sino World will cater to the wider Middle East customers with a base in the UAE, said Sheng Dong Mei, chairman of Sino World.

There has been a 50-fold increase in China’s direct trade with the Middle East and Africa, with investment from Chinese corporates into the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region totalling $30 billion in 2013. China is aiming to increase its trade volumes with the region of $240 billion in 2013 to $600 billion in the coming decade.

China is among the second top import origins of the UAE. Trade between China and the UAE grew by 14 per cent year-on-year to $46 billion in 2013, according to the UAE’s Ministry of Economy.

With more than 4,200 Chinese companies registered, the UAE is the largest Middle East market for Chinese products.

The 5,090-sq-m business centre at Wafi City will boost the trade and tourism elements as this will become a single window between the UAE and China. Sino World Group will only showcase and introduce the high-end products from China.

Sino World Group will be investing $50 million in various phases into this unique project through funding institutions which is expected to open to the public by 2015. – TradeArabia News Service
