Qanat Quartier ... boasts of Venetian-inspired architecture.

UDC in key Qatar townhouse auction success

DOHA, September 19, 2015

Qatar-based United Development Company (UDC) hat announced the successful completion of the first limited auction offering of nine Qanat Quartier townhouses at its flagship island development The Pearl-Qatar in Doha.

A Venice-like community, Qanat Quartier is one of the most popular and attractive precincts in The Pearl-Qatar, quickly becoming a highly sought-after address in the Gulf region.

Its unique Venetian-inspired architecture, with brightly coloured houses, canal ways, bridges and seaside facades, render it a unique and attractive residential destination, said the Qatari developer.

Through the envelope bidding method, UDC pointed out that it had auctioned some of the most luxurious townhouses in the Venice-like community of Qanat Quartier.

With September 13 set as deadline, the company started receiving bids and subsequently processed them for the nine units in accordance with the auction’s set rules and regulations.

Though the minimum opening price was set at QR25,000 ($6,865) per sq m, a number of bids exceeded this amount, consequently setting a new benchmark for future sale rates at The Pearl-Qatar.

The townhouses in Qanat Quartier being offered are two- or three-bedroom units covering 350 sq m and above, said a statement from UDC.

Offering views over the picturesque water canals, all units in Qanat Quartier also feature parking areas, as well as direct access to the beach.

According to UDC, residents can enjoy the stunning architecture, privileged lifestyle on the water and water taxis linking Qanat Quartier with other areas in The Pearl-Qatar.

Residents can also enjoy a wide variety of retail options, including restaurants, cafes, gift shops, art galleries, small fashion boutiques, food markets, resorts, recreation facilities and specialised gyms, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
