Properties on Yas Island majorly benefitted from the tourism influx this Eid

Aldar Properties hospitality assets see full occupancy during Eid

DUBAI, October 1, 2015

The hospitality and leisure portfolio of Abu Dhabi’s largest property company, Aldar Properties, recorded full occupancy in all of its 10 hotels over the Eid Al Adha vacation period.

Citizens and residents of the UAE and other GCC markets accounted for 61 per cent of hotel guests with 20 per cent drawn from source markets in Western Europe, India and China.

Talal Al Dhiyebi, chief development officer, Aldar Properties, said: “The full occupancy of hotels in our portfolio during Eid al Adha is a validation of the diverse and luxurious hospitality experience we are offering Abu Dhabi’s visitors. It is also proof of Abu Dhabi’s growing stature as a world class tourist destination.”

“Aldar’s major assets such as World Trade Center Abu Dhabi and Yas Island, which is home to Yas Mall, Yas Waterworld, Yas Links, Yas Beach, and Ferrari World, provide tourists with constant entertainment, enabling them to maximise their time in the emirate,” he said.

Adding to its hotel portfolio on Yas island, Aldar also opened the 195-key Courtyard by Marriott, which is connected to the World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, offering guests 160 retail outlets and over 20 dining outlets right on their doorstep. – TradeArabia News Service
