CBRE boosts Bahrain management team

Leading real estate consulting firm CBRE has made two new appointments to its Bahrain business - James Lynn who joins as director and head of research and consultancy covering both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and Orest Lachowycz as a research and consultancy manager.

The new management appointments, within research and consultancy service line, reflect the increasing demand in the field, said CBRE Bahrain, which opened in 2008 and now has a fast-growing team covering its core services: research and consultancy, valuation, asset services, property management as well as sales and agency.

The Bahrain office also services Saudi Arabia and the addition of key team members further strengthens CBRE capabilities in the region.

As developers and investment firms seek international expertise and development advice, CBRE Bahrain is well positioned to provide feasibility, best-use studies and market research to support development decisions for their clients, with an expanding team that includes key personnel with a wealth of experience, said the company in a statement.

An industry veteran, Lynn has more than 10 years’ experience across the region in the real estate sector, which includes senior management positions at both Cluttons and Savills.

In his new role, Lynn is tasked with utilising his knowledge of Middle Eastern markets, to deliver development services to public and private sector clients, covering a cross section of asset classes, including: residential, office, retail, hotel and industrial.

Lachowycz brings over a decade of experience of working within the region, with a background that includes market research and project management.

As part of his profile, Lachowycz will play a primary role in providing key information and advice to property owning clients. Forming an integral part of the professional services team, he will support the department in conducting research and analysis.
 
Commenting on the appointments, Richard Botham, the senior director and general manager, CBRE Bahrain, said: "These key appointments will strengthen CBRE’s efforts to further expand in the region and create a large footprint in providing consultancy services across the region, especially in Saudi Arabia."

The combined portfolio of properties managed by CBRE in Bahrain comprise almost 100,000 sq m of prime office space in commercial districts and retail malls; almost 300 residential units spread across the kingdom in both compounds and apartment complexes, and more than 50,000 sq m of industrial and warehousing space.
