Obour City units ... will mainly cater to the medium-income group.

Over 2,000 new housing units coming up in Egypt

CAIRO, October 5, 2015

Work is on to build a total of 89 residential buildings at Obour City in Egypt, said a report.

The Obour City Development Authority said these buildings will house a total of 2,111 units which will mainly cater to the medium-income group.

About 63 buildings have been approved for repainting, and work has begun on one of them as a sample model, reported the Daily News Egypt.

Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly later toured the Obour City and inspected the facility buildings that have been completed in the city.

Madbouly, after reviewing the work at 1,500 new social housing units being implemented by the Ministry of Housing, said another 1,000 units will be launched soon.

Seven new schools will be set up in the city besides the five proposed ones along with a number of playgrounds in different districts of the city.
