Al Zorah golf course nears completion

The 18-hole golf course by Nicklaus Design at the Al Zorah project in Ajman is nearing completion and promises to be a major new attraction for tourists to the UAE emirate.

The golf course, part of the first phase development of the Al Zorah project, will be operated by Switzerland-based Troon Golf that is known to be the world’s leading high-end golf development company.

Located along a natural peninsula on the coastline of Ajman, the Al Zorah project is the master-plan of Solidere International in partnership with the Ajman Government. Spread over an area of 5.4 million sq m, the premier mixed-use project comprises five key districts: The Gateway, Beachfront, Peninsula, Creekside and Golf Course.

To coincide with the opening of the golf course, The Ajman Palace Hotel, a heritage resort managed by Hospitality Management Holdings, will be launching special inaugural offers for golf enthusiasts.

Ferghal Purcell, general manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel, visited the project site today.

Commenting on the development, Ferghal, said: "The Al Zorah development is a fabulous new addition to the list of tourism attractions in Ajman. It will add tremendous value to our destination and will be instrumental in positioning Ajman as a must-visit golf and leisure hub in the region. We are extremely excited about the completion of the first phase and are keen to promote it among our guests."
