Drake and Scull signs du partnership deal

DUBAI, October 22, 2015

UAE-based contractor Drake and Scull said it has signed a business services agreement with du, one of the fastest growing telecommunications service providers in the Middle East.

As part of the agreement, du will provide its telecommunication services to DSI to integrate all aspects of business telecommunication within the UAE as well as exploring the possibility of implementing International Leased line circuits.

DSI said it had been able to realise tangible cost benefits through their business relationship with du in the past, which resulted in a significant optimisation in fixed line costs with the seamless integration of “Closed User group” and “Call Select” functionality, and cost saving with the “Closed User group” feature that enables free calls between employees.

DSI’s agreement with du also spans the provisioning of mobile devices which resulted in savings in GSM calls which has generated substantial savings over a two-year cycle.

The Dubai contractor will also benefit from the “Unlimited International Data roaming” feature for executives to provide them with unlimited access to data on du’s extensive global roaming network.

The two companies will focus on connecting DSI’s regional offices through International Leased lines to DSI’s ISO 27001 certified Data center based in the Dubai Internet City in the near future.

On the agreement, Terence Sathyanarayan, the corporate IT director for DSI, said du was a veteran of the UAE’s telecom sector and the deal perfectly complements DSI’s growing communications requirements across its global markets.

"We are pleased with du’s capabilities in business services and the multi-year agreement between our companies will address the connectivity and business solution requirements. We believe that in du, we have a reliable business partner which understands our evolving needs for business critical and scalable telecommunication services," stated Sathyanarayan.

"The agreement with du will also help us attain our target of reducing our SG&A costs incurred on global communications, which will improve our profitability and generate value for our shareholders," he added.

Hany Fahmy Aly, the executive VP (Enterprise Business) at du, said it was delighted to welcome Drake and Scull as the newest member of its ever-growing enterprise services family.

"The company will benefit immensely from our expansive suite of business services and solutions, which will provide impetus to their growth and business productivity," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
