GCC interior design market to top $7.9bn

DUBAI, October 28, 2015

Demand for new hotels, retail spaces as well as schools and hospitals, will drive the GCC interior design projects to reach a record breaking $7.98 billion in 2015, as against last year’s total of $7.35 billion, according to a report.

This makes the Middle East the most exciting location in the world for architects and interior designers to be involved in right now, added the report from Ventures.

In line with this concept, the upcoming summit Leaders in Design MENA in Dubai, UAE will offer decision makers and key industry influencers networking sessions as well as a plethora of in-depth information regarding the industry trends and trends specific to the Mena region.

The summit has been researched by asking top level architects and designers in the region about business opportunities, issues they were facing and future trends in order to allow new designers and investors the opportunity to break into the market and prosper from the abundant growth that the region has to offer.

More than 200 global industry design leaders working with multi-billion iconic projects across the Mena region will discuss further advancement of the sector at the summit.

Organised by International Business Council, Leaders in Design MENA takes place on November 15 and 16 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

American Institute of Architects (Middle East), Association of Professional Interior Designers, The Middle East Council of Shopping Centres, RIBA Gulf, amongst the other industry bodies, have endorsed Leaders in Design MENA and will be playing an active role in the summit’s agenda over the course of two days.
