Grohe hosts key design seminars in Dubai

DUBAI, January 7, 2016

Grohe, a global leader in sanitary fittings, has partnered with the Association of Professional Interior Designers (APID) to host design seminars at its offices in Downtown Dubai.

The backing for the International Design Series Program comes as part of Grohe's continued efforts to support the UAE design community.

The seminar is being held this year following the success seen by its organisers last year at the inaugural series of events hosted for professional interior designers in the region. This year, the focus is on the five senses.

In her opening speech, Theodora Kioussis, the managing director at Esadore International, discussed how the senses are intrinsically linked to product design.

Interior designers from a range of design firms in the UAE attended the seminar representing the strength of the design community and eagerness to learn more about the industry.

The products highlighted at the seminar include the Grohe SmartControl with its push button technology delivering a perfect shower experience for everyone.

It takes the idea of comfortable showering to a new level. The newly designed push button integrates both the On-Off function and the volume control, said the statement from Grohe.

Also featured was the Grohe F-digital Deluxe, a cosmopolitan, multi-sensory shower which stimulates all the senses and transforms a bathroom into an indulgent space for physical, emotional and spiritual well-being, it added.

Antoine Khalife, the vice-president of Grohe Levant and the Gulf, said the group is committed to giving back to the design community and promoting learning.

"We are extremely happy to have partnered once again with APID to make this design seminar possible. As part of the extended Grohe Design Series Program, we will continue to educate and engage with the design community including professionals and students alike," stated Khalife.

"Through this partnership, we are pleased to be contributing to creating dialogue while supporting the design community in the UAE," he added.

Grohe first launched the Design Series Program in 2012 to reward successful creative work for university design students. Since its inception, the programme has successfully continued to provide students the opportunity to challenge their talents and creativity.-TradeArabia News Service
