New development projects launched in Madinah

RIYADH, February 11, 2016

The Saudi government has launched a series of developmental projects worth over SR100 million ($26.6 million) in the Madinah region, said a report.

These include municipal projects at Khaibar, Al Salsah and Al Ashash municipalities at a cost of SR16 million, SR50 million and SR22 million respectively, reported Arab News.

The key projects were launched during the visit of Madinah governor Prince Faisal bin Salman to Khaibar Province recently, stated the report.

The other developments include the building of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haia) at a cost of SR5 million and a charity warehouse at over SR13 million, it added.

Earlier, Prince Faisal chaired a joint meeting of the local and municipal councils which explored achievements so far.

During the meeting, Prince Faisal stressed the importance of development and beautification of the province, the report added.
