Abu Dhabi government to hand over 2,000 new homes

ABU DHABI, March 27, 2016

The Abu Dhabi government is set to hand over 2,048 homes to its citizens across the emirate, including 236 units in Al Ain and 349 in the Western Region, said a report.

The announcement was made by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, following the directives from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Besides this, about 4,495 plots will also be distributed to the citizens including 2,432 plots in the UAE capital, 1,713 in Al Ain and 350 in the Western Region, reported the state news agency Wam.

The municipalities will begin the handing over of the residential units and plots in a few days. A total of  1,463 houses have been allocated for Abu Dhabi city.

All these homes are located in residential compounds with full community services and high-quality infrastructure, said the report.

They have been designed as per global standards are set to achieve an Estidama sustainability rating of two pearls, it added.
