Al Ma’awdah unveils luxury residential project in Bahrain

MANAMA, April 27, 2016

Bahrain’s Al-Ma’awdah Group has launched a BD22 million ($58.35 million) luxury residential project at the Gulf Property Show.

Called Residence Sharq, the project is being built over a 17,080-sq-m area of land at Dilmunia, a man-made island off the coast of Muharraq.

The project has been launched by Al Talae, a real estate subsidiary of the Al Maawdah Group, a renowned name in Bahrain’s construction sector which is exhibiting at gulfBID for the first time.

“The aim of Residence Sharq is to set new standards in the luxury lifestyle sector and offer residents a getaway from a stressful life through its different facilities and surround them with nature,” remarked Al-Ma’awdah Group marketing manager Isa Almaawda.

Designed by a French firm Unanime, Residence Sharq consists of 285 units. The project is currently under construction and will be completed by the end of 2017, stated Almaawda.

Residence Sharq offers one, two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments as well as two-storeyed three- and four-bedroom townhouses. While the apartments come with facilities such as maid’s quarters, a majlis and large balconies, the townhouses provide additional space and luxury.

Apart from large bedrooms, a large living room and large kitchen, some townhouses even include a lawn and a sea view and are, therefore, akin to villas.

The project also boasts two infinity swimming pools with one dedicated only for women and one sea-pool. Additionally, it has a kids playground and kids pool; two gyms including a women-only gym and an outdoor yoga terrace.

A café, supermarket and an express dry cleaner and a 500 m running track are some other attractions.
The apartments are priced at BD49,000 ($129,000) onwards, while the townhouses price range begins from BD145,000 ($384,000).-TradeArabia News Service
