Al Sharq's Dubai residential project on track

DUBAI, May 26, 2016

Saudi-based Al Sharq Investment said 93 per cent of the structural work has been completed at its Alef Residences, a luxury project coming up on a 46,840-sq-m area at Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, UAE.

The Alef Residences, which will be a project of 'firsts', is to be serviced by W Dubai - The Palm, a world class resort and residential complex with a spa, pool areas and other water features.

The construction team has been working round the clock to meet targets with the hotel ‘topping out’ on May 11 and its completion will be March 5, 2017. Meanwhile the residences’ ‘topping out’ will be  likely on July 5 and completion date set for June next year, it stated.

Al Sharq Investment said with the hotel structure already 100 per cent complete, the overall percentage completion of the entire project, taking into account the total value spent is nearly 48 per cent.

According to the Saudi firm, the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works are progressing well in the hotel from the basement to level 4, with almost 33 per cent of installations complete, and façade work is moving ahead with almost 50 per cent of the framing finished.

The Alef Residences, it stated, has been built in response to a distinct gap in the Dubai residential market, a need for quality on another level, leading to residences made from only the finest materials, delivering spacious and comfortable apartment living beyond the current industry expectations.

The Alef Residences will combine contemporary, classic design elements with an Arabic touch, and a design that provides the perfect balance between space and intimacy, indoor and outdoor, privacy and social, light and dark, it added.

Architecturally, the structure is inspired by the wadis and bastakiya, and is rooted in the Arabic in which it was born, representing the first development under the Alef brand set to have a global reach starting in the Middle East, said Al Sharq Investment.

Currently under construction, the fully-funded Alef Residences are scheduled for handover in Q2 of next year. A selection of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom luxury homes offer from 4,800 to 15,000 sq ft of spacious accommodation, with stunning floor to ceiling panoramic ocean and skyline views, large balconies and gardens, some even with their own pool, said the company in its statement.

The top floor is reserved for two single penthouses and three duplex penthouses. The project has been uniquely tailored to cater for a diverse range of cultures with the top two floors just shell and core so owners can take advantage of world class interior designer partners to customise, it stated.

Al Sharq Investment said the contemporary and sophisticated residences are surrounded by a tropical landscaped garden and a 475- m-long white sandy beach - the largest private residential beachfront location in Dubai.

The beachfront promenade will become a haven for relaxation and recreation, with private cabanas and a range of water sports, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
