Egypt in deal to develop 370 new residential units

CAIRO, June 13, 2016

The Egyptian government has signed a co-operation protocol to develop 370 homes in the Minya and Sohag region at an estimated cost of E£20 million ($2.2 million), said a report.

It is part of a development project for families that need the most care, stated Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing after signing the agreement with Soha Soliman, the secretary general of the Social Fund for Development (SFD).

In the framework of co-operation between the Egyptian government and the World Bank for the implementation of development projects, Madbouly said an agreement was signed between the Egyptian government and the World Bank, reported the Daily News Egypt.
 
The project’s funds amounted to $200 million in addition to local contributions from concerned ministries and governorates, it added.
