DUBAI, July 28, 2016

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, will showcase its latest efforts to adopt environmental initiatives at the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (Wetex 2016) in October.

The event, organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa), will be held from October 4 to 6 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, UAE.

This annual exhibition provides opportunities for associations, corporations and companies from all over the region and the world to discover the latest technology related to the water, energy, and environment sectors.

The show serves as a platform for companies to reveal their forthcoming projects.

The 18th Wetex exhibition is expected to be the largest in its history in terms of the number of exhibitors, display area and number of visitors. This year, it is expected to attract 1,900 exhibitors from 46 countries, 22,600 visitors from 65 countries, and the total area is expected to exceed 63,700 sq m.

“Wetex is an international platform which reflects on the UAE and its leadership’s commitment to promote latest technological solutions in the field of energy and sustainability. It also serves as an ideal venue for displaying environment-friendly energy solutions in order to achieve a better life for generations to come. Empower’s participation is part of its pioneering role as one of the largest companies working to develop and spread the latest technology in the field of district cooling worldwide. We have also a mandate of helping developing countries adopt sustainable solutions for the advancement of the energy and production sectors,” said Ahmad Bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower.

Wetex 2016 will be held under the umbrella of the third Green Week. It also coincides with the first Dubai Solar Show and the third World Green Economy Summit (WGES).

Empower will showcase its latest efforts to adopt environmental initiatives, exchange ideas and suggest the best ways to use energy, added Bin Shafar.

Empower looks forward to signing new contracts, building partnerships, and looking at the latest technology in the energy, environment and sustainable development, and both current and future projects regionally and worldwide, he said.  - TradeArabia News Service
