Australia's Brookfield Multiplex to be rebranded

DUBAI, August 31, 2016

Brookfield Multiplex, an Australian contracting company behind several high-profile construction projects in the Gulf region, mainly in the UAE and Qatar, is set to be rebranded as Multiplex.

A key player in designing, building and maintaining property and infrastructure assets, Multiplex will remain a part of international property giant Brookfield after its rebranding, reported The Construction Enquirer, citing a company spokesman.

“This is a time for us to rebrand and to ensure our own unique construction identity both within the Brookfield group and with our external stakeholders as a global construction business,” he stated.

“Aside from our name and logo changing, it’s business as usual. There are no operational or organisational changes being made.’

Multiplex, he said, will be part of Brookfield Business Partners, a business services and industrial company in which Brookfield Asset Management completed a spin-off in June.

The company has been part of major projects in the UAE including Emirates Towers, Al Ghurair City Residence, the first two stages of Dubai Marina, Masdar Headquarters, the Gate building (Dubai) and Eastern Mangroves and Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resorts in the UAE capital, said the report.

In Qatar, the Australian firm is presently working on two big projects - Jaidah Square and W Doha Hotel and Residences.
