Kuwait says $280m road project on track

KUWAIT, September 7, 2017

Kuwaiti authorities said work was progressing well on the KD84.6-million ($280 million) Wafra Road Project and the first phase of the project would be completed by March next year.

The project involves construction of nine intersections, nine flyovers and over 41 km of four-lane roads, reported Kuwait Times, citing a top official.

The current development plan focuses on nine strategic sectors in the north region including electricity, water, oil, gas, urban development, education, health services, transport, telecommunications, tourism, media and the environment, stated Kuwait FDI authority director, Sheikh Mes’al Al Jaber.

Kuwait has allocated $103 billion for 30 major projects especially after adapting the PPP system, he added.
