Imdaad to launch first ‘work series’ at FM Expo

DUBAI, September 21, 2017

Dubai-based Imdaad, a leading facilities management (FM) company, will be launching the first “Imdaad Work Series” at the upcoming FM Expo, Middle East’s largest dedicated FM show, in Dubai, UAE.

The event runs from September 25 to 27 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Imdaad Work Series will provide unique insights on facilities management and the disruptors behind the rapid transformation of this booming industry.

As FM Expo’s Strategic Content Partner, Imdaad will host open debates with industry thought-leaders on the FM world’s most compelling topics, including the digitalisation of the assets’ life cycle, and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data are changing the way buildings operate.

Jamal Abdulla Lootah, Group CEO of Imdaad, said: “Our strategic partnership with FM Expo for the organization of the Imdaad Work Series is a crucial step in advancing the FM industry towards an innovation-led future.”

Alexis Wheatley, event director of FM Expo, said: “The Imdaad Work Series offer the one-of-a-kind opportunity for FM clients and end users to engage with leading industry experts in a professional environment designed to stimulate open debates and knowledge sharing.”

Ana Stanojevic, associate director, Workplace Strategy at JLL, will present the latest research on the impact that building design and the environment have on human experience, while Christopher Tebb, practice leader for Digital at Mott MacDonald, will discuss the importance of developing technology like BIM at the strategy level to reduce cost and increase asset and operational predictability.

IBM’s Global Industry leader, Claire Penny, will offer practical insights into what is considered by many as the Number One game changer to FM: the Internet of Things (IoT).

Legionella, a serious hazard to businesses and one of the hottest industry topics in the region, will also be in the spotlight at the Imdaad Work Series, with experts from the FM Expo’s Legionella Hub sharing best practices and solutions to control the legionella threat.

On September 27, the sessions will be dedicated to universities, following Imdaad’s decision to establish an in-house R&D unit, recognising innovation and research as fundamental pillars of a knowledge-based, highly productive and competitive economy.

The Imdaad Work Series will take place alongside the FM Expo exhibition, where local and international companies will showcase the latest facilities management products across dedicated features areas, including clean, waste, elevators, the Legionella Hub, and the IoT Village.

On September 25 and 26, the event will host the free to attend “Facilities Management Congress Middle East” conference, gathering industry thought leaders responsible for the region’s landmark projects, while technical workshops on the latest products, innovations, technologies, and regulations in the FM industry will be on offer on the last day of the event.

Organised by dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa, FM Expo is co-located with The Big 5 Outdoor Design & Build Show, Windows, Doors & facades Event, and Gulf Glass. – TradeArabia News Service
