Phase Two of Aldar's $218m waterfront project sold out

ABU DHABI, 26 days ago

Aldar Properties, a leading property development company in Abu Dhabi, has sold out the entire second phase of its Water’s Edge, a major development located on Yas Island, netting over Dh800 million ($218 million) in sales.

Customers had turned out in force at the Aldar Sales Centre on Saturday (November 18) to buy their new homes in the key destination, following the sales launch of three apartment buildings within Water’s Edge.

Thanks to its strategic location, Water’s Edge was a major hit among the investors. The development is located adjacent to SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, which is set to open in 2022, and only a five-minute walk from Yas Mall, Ferrari World and the Yas Marina Circuit, said a statement from Aldar.

In addition, Yas Island is also home to seven hotels, Yas Beach, and Yas Links Golf & Country Club, it stated.

On the overwhelming response, CEO Talal Al Dhiyebi, said: "We are delighted to have sold out these two phases of Water’s Edge in such a short space of time. The exceptional response demonstrates customer confidence in Aldar’s developments and our ability to create communities in which people want to live."

"The continued demand for homes on Yas Island further solidifies the destination’s reputation as one of Abu Dhabi’s most desirable locations," he stated.

Water’s Edge offers the complete outdoor lifestyle, with pedestrian access to all amenities including a waterfront promenade with multiple dining and retail options, remarked Al Dhiyebi.

"The 13 apartment buildings will be complemented by private courtyards with spacious landscaped areas, pools, multipurpose courts and a mosque. With a balcony in each home, residents will be able to take in stunning waterfront views," he added.

The Water’s Edge will also welcome the Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park next year, said the company statement.

Yas Island is a destination for major government investment, with the upcoming Dh12-billion South Yas development, incorporating the new, state-of-the-art twofour54 campus being developed by Aldar, which will bring 10,000 media and entertainment industry professionals to the island, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
