SSH wins mega Kuwait mixed-use development contract

KUWAIT, November 20, 2017

SSH, a leading masterplanning, building design, construction supervision and project management firm in the region, has recently signed the contract for the design of three packages for six plots at the Hessah Al Mubarak development in Kuwait City.
 
The Hessah Al Mubarak Development includes 82 plots for residential buildings (high-, medium- and low-rise apartment buildings and duplexes); serviced apartments; offices; clinics; health clubs; commercial activities; retail; food and beverage (F&B) outlets, a mosque and a multi-storey car-park building.

As per the contract, SSH will provide consultancy services for each of the packages, including architectural, interior design, landscape, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering design, quantity surveying, tender documentation, permitting and tendering services for the development of five residential towers with associated parking facilities, and low-rise townhouses.
 
Plot 52 is a luxury 1,830-sq-m residential tower with 74 apartments distributed over 26 floors, while Plots 50 and 51 comprise luxury waterfront residential twin towers with a total area of 5,506 sq m that boast 212 apartments distributed over 42 floors, including a mechanical floor.
 
Plot 160 consists of residential twin towers with a total area of 5,509 sq m and will feature 210 apartments distributed over 42 floors, also including a mechanical floor.

According to SSH, the Plots 158 and 159 comprise 12 low-rise buildings, made up of 96 townhouse duplexes. The buildings are spread on both sides of the project’s spine along the plots and contain 48 units in each compound. 

The company has additionally completed the design and supervision of infrastructure works, which were constructed by Al Ahmadiah Contracting and Trading Company.

The land allocation for the Hessah Al Mubarak development project spans 227,066 sq m, of which close to 50 per cent is dedicated to public services and amenities, said the top consultancy in its statement.

This includes gardens, open public spaces, urban plazas, streets and multi-storey public parking and utilities. Gardens and green areas across the project have been allocated 23,400 sq m, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
