Bahrain completes vital sewerage network

Bahraini's Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning has announced the completion of Dair Sewerage Network Project, which caters to 47 houses and real estate on Block 231 in Muharraq Governorate.

The project is part of the development projects that Muharraq Governorate is witnessing, which complements the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure and accommodate citizens’ and residents’ needs, said a senior official.

The project involves extension of 750-m-long main lines and 930-m-long sub-lines besides construction of a lifting station and 72 inspection chambers for both the main and sub-connections, explained Asma Murad, the sanitary engineering assistant undersecretary of the Ministry.

The BD221,985 ($587,415) project was earlier awarded to Kingdom’s Asphalt.

On completion, the sewerage network will be connected to the main plant in Muharraq, namely Muharraq Sewage Treatment Plant, she added.-TradeArabia News Service
